The LDS Under 19 soccer team finished their Cinderella run by reaching the Quarterfinal of the Fiji Secondary Schools IDC Tournament. Their first game in the pool stages was a baptism of fire, as they were pitted against Ba's Kamil Secondary School, who were runners up last year. Kamil had the services of star players, such as Misiwane Nairube, the National Under-20 goalkeeper. They went on to be the eventual tournament champions, but LDS did not give them an easy time as they went down fighting 2-0.
The LDS Under 19 team bounced back in their second pool game by defeating Rampur College 2-0. Both goals were scored by Marika Tawakelevu, who was awarded the Best Full Back of the Fiji Secondary Schools IDC Tournament.
LDS then held their last opponents in pool play, Drasa Secondary school, to a nil all draw. The result ensured their progress into the Quarterfinal stages. Even though they bowed out in the Quarterfinal, the LDS U19 soccer team of 2015 surprised many by reaching the Elimination stages in only their first year after a lapse of more than a decade.
