Last week the staff of the Fiji Service Centre hosted the Assistant Minister for Health Mrs Veena Bhatnagar who came to visit the office and discuss potential partnership between the Church and the Health Ministry.
The visit began with a devotion led by the Welfare Manager , Jackson Yee. During the devotion, Shivanjani an Accountant in the Fiji Service Centre and also President of the Fiji Young Diabetes Association introduced Mrs Veena Bhatangar as a well-known radio personality for Hindi programme in Fiji whom she had grown up listening to. She said that Mrs Bhatnagar was known for her open mindedness and through her radio programs she raised awareness on common issues affecting Fijians which needed to be heard and addressed by government.

Service Centre Manager Adolf Johansson officially welcomed the minister.
Mrs Bhatnagar said that she was overwhelmed by the warm welcome extended to her and asked that the Church continue the good work it’s doing and together with the ministry, help the people of Fiji to stay healthy. According to her there was a great need to do awareness on Non Communicable Diseases and Diabetes.
